Webinar for churches conducting pastor searches during a pandemic

A congregation's search for a pastor can be challenging and overwhelming in the best of circumstances. Now, however, there is an additional layer of questions and considerations for pastor searches due to the COVID-19 outbreak. In this 43-minute webinar search teams will be provided with pandemic-related reflection points around logistics and bigger picture issues, perspectives of clergy who are searching for new ministry positions, thoughts for moving ahead creatively and faithfully with a pastor search if your church so chooses, and responses to common questions from pastor search teams.

This webinar is led by Rev. Laura Stephens-Reed, an experienced congregational minister and a Professional Certified Coach who specializes in coaching clergy and congregations across the ecumenical spectrum. Rev. Stephens-Reed developed Searching for the Called (searchingforthecalled.org), a process for pastor searches rooted in hospitality toward the voices of the congregation and community, the gifts and stories of pastoral candidates, and the movements of the Holy Spirit. She frequently works with both ministers and congregations in searches.
